Hey everyone, Jon here on Gay Chicago TV with another episode of Score. Now, the weather recently has been great, so many people have begun to shift their focus to some of the outdoors sports, but there is still a lot of exciting action going on inside. The Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association’s basketball season is in full swing, and right before the year started, Score got a chance to check out how the players get ready for the season, and what the men’s basketball league means to those who participate.

Speaking of basketball, the Bulls lead off our sports briefs today. The Bulls currently are the number 1 team in the Eastern Conference, winning about 80% of their games. The big question, can they stay healthy? If so, this defensive minded team with an always improving offensive could be pretty dangerous.
The Blackhawks, well, how does that Katy Perry song go, they are hot and their cold, they’re yes then their no. Up and then down, and well, you get the point. So far here in 2012 they have a nine-game losing streak, followed by a four game winning streak, then three losses in a row, followed by a three game winning streak. Their recent loss to the Blues was, well pitiful, and this team has a lot of questions as the season winds down. The injury bug has hit the Hawks too, team Captain Jonathan Toews out with concussion like symptoms for some time, amongst some other hurt players, puts the Hawks chances of even making the playoffs in serious doubt. We’ll have to wait and see.
The Cubs and Sox have both started spring training. Most analysts predict tough seasons for both teams. So, be prepared for a long summer ahead, you may need an extra beer or two at Wrigley or US Cellular this season.
And looking ahead, March madness is upon us. We’ll have a full preview in an episode coming up. The Wildcats are crossing their fingers for a ticket to the big dance, and well, that’s about it. Fellow Illini like myself, well, our post season chances are near to nil.
That’s it for Score, thanks so much for watching. Be sure to like us on facebook and feel free to shoot me any feedback you want. For Gay Chicago TV, I’m Jon, hope you watch again soon.
